You will direct Facilities Operations Assistants 1 and other crew, assign work based on priorities, and ensure schedules, standards, and guidelines are met. The role supports appearance, safety, and functionality of campus grounds and outdoor spaces.

Job description

Grounds Maintenance is dedicated to maintaining the natural beauty of our 265-acre campus completing routine maintenance for a variety of surfaces and areas. Facility Operations Assistant 2 (Grounds) will be responsible for the effective direction of Facility Operations Assistants 1, and/or other grounds, custodial, maintenance crew, or temporary staff including providing work assignments based on priorities set by management, and ensuring schedules, standards and guidelines are met. The role combines hands-on grounds maintenance responsibilities with leadership duties to support the appearance, safety, and functionality of campus grounds and outdoor facilities.

We are part of the Administration & Finance division and provide essential services to our campus, local, state, federal and international customers. We navigate systems in a collaborative and sensitive way to assist the University in achieving its educational mission.

This position is expected to work Monday-Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm.
