Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Springfield, IL to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical equipment to support daily operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, and use Corrigo CMMS to document activity, while following safety procedures and codes. This on-site role offers a stable schedule Mon-Fri 7:00 am–4:00 pm with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience maintaining commercial building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair independently.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with CMMS/work order tracking.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift/move equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Troubleshoot building systems and respond to maintenance work orders promptly.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting operations.
• Complete interior maintenance tasks including furniture, doors, fixtures, and minor installations.
• Replace lighting components, clean HVAC coils, and change filters/belts as part of routine maintenance.
• Use Corrigo to update work order status and maintain documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings/trainings.
