Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to lead a large automotive manufacturing site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation across maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure. You will drive uptime and compliance while controlling operating costs.

You will oversee preventative maintenance, energy management, and vendor contracts, with a focus on improving maintenance processes and training staff to meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills demonstrated in maintaining large-scale facilities.
• Experience in planning and maintaining facility budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
• 5–10 years' experience in an industrial, process or facility environment.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

As Facility Manager, you will oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large-scale automotive manufacturing facility, leading facility maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, and support operations to maximize equipment uptime, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, control operating costs, and support uninterrupted production.

What You Will Do

Participate actively to Equipment's Reliability Improvement Management (ERIM) deployment with production teams Manage a global equipment reliability action plan Detect refurbishing / renewal needs, build and follow potential necessary action plan Lead the delegation of preventative maintenance level 2 and 2 Ensure that employees are properly trained and that OJT is in place. Lead Kaizen actions to improve in maintenance field Ensure that rules concerning equipment manufacturer assistance onsite/at distance are involved in specifications and contract negotiated Find new methods/equipment to reduce energy consumption. Control the energy consumption compared to the budget. Prepare the energy budget for the upcoming year(s). Participate, alongside Purchasing, in the yearly contract negotiation with all maintenance suppliers. Participate, alongside Purchasing, in maintenance contract re-negotiation for the utilities & big equipment Maintain Valeo visual standard both inside and outside of the building. Control water handling in all aspect ( drinking, waste, rain, fire ) Maintain cooling/heating, fresh air and all water systems Maintain all logistic related equipment. Manage the cleaning, gardening, snow removal services. Maintain all equipment in the breakroom Manage team members time, attendance, training and performance. Support site quotes, specification and construction. Manage facility related project.

What you should have

Mechanical skills Experience in planning and maintaining facility budgets Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred). 5-10 years of experience in an industrial, process or facility field.
