Job summary

Brooke Grove Retirement Village in Olney, MD is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Worker to perform routine building upkeep and respond to maintenance requests. You will troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems while ensuring safety standards and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• One to three years experience in facilities maintenance role.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Regularly inspect mechanical, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Lubricate, clean and replace worn parts as needed.
• Diagnose and repair issues across plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor inventory and order parts as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.

• Perform Routine Maintenance
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
  • Lubricate, clean, and replace parts as necessary to maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Repair or replace defective parts in various systems, including plumbing systems, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and fix issues.
  • Ensure that the building's interior and exterior is well-maintained.
  • Perform minor construction tasks such as carpentry, painting, and drywall repair.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Monitor and control maintenance inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent issues outside of regular working hours.
