ST MARYS HOME is seeking a Facility Maintenance Worker to support a safe, well-maintained environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect and repair building systems, and handle outdoor upkeep across the grounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conducts preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) on assigned building equipment on scheduled days.
  • Performs daily inspections, routine maintenance, and scheduled maintenance as assigned.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs faulty equipment, including electrical switches and air-conditioning units.
  • Replaces light bulbs and checks for lighting issues throughout the facility.
  • Performs general repair tasks including plaster or drywall repair, and maintenance of roofs, windows, doors, floors, and woodwork.
  • Carries out lawn care, parking lot maintenance, and other outdoor upkeep as directed.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized workspace, and follows health and safety guidelines.
  • Supports a positive, collaborative team culture by communicating respectfully and contributing to shared goals.
  • Other duties as assigned while embracing kindness, compassion, and person-centered care.

Description

The Facility Maintenance Worker works under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager and plays a key role in supporting a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for all. This role involves general maintenance and repair work throughout the building and grounds. It also includes preventative maintenance, and equipment repairs that help keep the Home running smoothly.

Requirements
General Duties

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

  • Willingness to engage with a compassionate, fun, and collaborative team environment
  • Physically able to perform manual work (lifting, bending, climbing, etc.)
  • Open to learning and following safety protocols and organizational policies
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat for variable periods of time, lift up to 35 pounds independently, and adhere to the Home’s dress code policy, and always wear a company-issued ID badge.
