Job summary

CoreCivic in Pahrump, NV is seeking a Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair the facility's structures and systems in a secure, institutional setting. The role offers hourly pay of $24.08 and requires a commitment to safety and dependable service.

You will inspect, diagnose and repair machines and equipment; install or repair electrical wiring and components; perform preventative maintenance per the plan; and supervise inmates assigned to the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
• Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses in a maintenance or construction related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
