Job summary

CBRE in Santa Clara seeks a Maintenance Technician to support a large technical facility, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems. You will help ensure energy efficiency and safety compliance while supporting equipment installations.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will use CMMS and MS Office to manage work orders and document activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED or trade school acceptable) with 1–2 years of related experience or combination of experience and education.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in executing tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and managing work orders via CMMS.
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion using available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Communicate clearly and concisely to exchange information.
• Follow defined procedures to deliver outputs under supervision.
