Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to support a large technical facility in Santa Clara. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems to keep buildings running smoothly.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, code compliance, and safe operation. Strong organizational and communication skills are valued; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school or GED accepted with related experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements (lift 50 lbs, climb stairs/ ladders, stand/walk).
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards; teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose problems, and implement fixes.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
• Review work orders and track completion using available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of systems.
• Inspect installations for code and safety compliance.
• Follow defined procedures to solve straight‑forward problems.
• Deliver output under supervision following established processes.
