Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Odessa, TX to perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facilities and equipment in compliance with safety standards.

You will manage work orders, coordinate with teams and contractors, and monitor maintenance records while using heavy machinery and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Observes and documents signs of wear and tear.
• Gathers capital expense information.
• Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
• Determines replacement needs.
