Job summary

Walmart in Plano, TX seeks a Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance to keep facilities safe, functional and presentable through preventive maintenance, inspections and timely repairs. You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, operate heavy machinery and document activities while ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Must have vocational/technical certification with 2+ years in plumbing, electrical, or related area.
Valid state driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record requirements per company policy.
No major driving violations in past 3–5 years.
Experience reading blueprints/schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and fixtures.
Inspect, clean, repair equipment, and document wear or needed replacements.
Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols.
Order parts, track inventory, and process invoices accurately.
Identify hazards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
