Job summary

Aramark is hiring an HVAC Maintenance Technician II for Evanston Hospital on the 2nd shift. Under the Maintenance Manager, you perform daily building maintenance including plumbing, lighting, HVAC troubleshooting, minor electrical work, and carpentry to keep facilities in serviceable condition.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of maintenance experience. You must be able to lift up to 80 lb, stand for long periods, and work rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance trades.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.
• Strong understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lb and stand for 12 hours.
• Adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
• Good customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspects assigned buildings regularly and performs maintenance to keep facilities in serviceable condition.
• Reports major maintenance needs to supervisor for referral to shop-crafts or other corrective actions.
• Performs stand-by duty and responds to after-hours and weekend emergency call-backs.
• Repairs fixtures, hardware, and facilities such as doors, windows, plumbing, electrical systems, and furniture.
• May operate a service truck in locations that require travel.
• Attends safety meetings as required.
