Job summary

Dreisbach Enterprises, Inc. in Richmond, CA is seeking Facility Maintenance Technicians to support our Cold Storage Facility. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, monitor alarms, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of prior experience as facility maintenance technician.
• Familiarity with building management systems and energy efficiency practices
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills for data entry and work order management
• Able to read and understand technical manuals and safety instructions
• Able to communicate in English, both oral and written
• Able to interact positively with employees, vendors, and customers
• Able to work independently without direct supervision
• Able to properly operate a wide variety of power tools, motorized pallet-jacks, etc
• Valid CA driver's license
• Prior mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC experience preferred
• Prior experience in Industrial Refrigeration (ammonia) preferred
• Successful applicants must pass a post offer, pre employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on the building systems
• Monitor building systems and alarms for proper operation. Respond to malfunctions, perform limited trouble-shooting, and initiate service calls or requests for assistance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Maintain and repair building structures, including doors, windows, floors, and walls
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed

We are seeking Facility Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Richmond, CA. Candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of facility operations to include experience in any of the following areas: building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding) material handling equipment, and industrial refrigeration.

$27 - $31 depending on experience

Our facility maintenance technicians:

WORK ENVIORNMENT

• Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairwells
• Able to lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks
• Able to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods
• Work varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs
• Able to work in various environments, including temperature-controlled facilities and outdoor settings
