Dreisbach-Enterprises in Richmond, CA is seeking Facility Maintenance Technicians to join our team. You should have a well-rounded knowledge of facility operations including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and related trades.

The role supports a Cold Storage Facility and offers $22–$26 per hour depending on experience. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot systems, operate hand and power tools, and help keep the facility safe and well maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding).
• Able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Basic knowledge of building systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Operate hand and power tools; use pallet jacks and warehouse equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Report safety hazards to management.
• Assist in carpentry tasks and general upkeep.

Job description

We are seeking Facility Maintenece Technicians to join our team in Richmond, CA. Candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of facility operations to include experience in any of the following areas: building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding) material handling equipment, and industrial refrigeration.

$22 - $26 depending on experience

Join our talented engineering team that supports all maintenance aspects of our Cold Storage Facility. Our facility maintenance technicians:

• Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems under supervision
• Perform basic carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, and doors
• Assist with painting and general facility upkeep
• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, sockets, gear pullers screwdrivers, jacks, drill press, screw gun, electric drill, etc.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on the building systems
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly

WORK ENVIORNMENT

• Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairwells
• Able to lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks
• Able to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods
• Work varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs
• Able to work in various environments, including temperature-controlled facilities and outdoor settings

Job Requirements

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as being able to multi-task
• Able to properly operate a wide variety of power tools, motorized pallet-jacks and warehouse equipment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred

• Successful applicants must pass a post offer, pre employment drug screening
