Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky seeks a dedicated Facility Maintenance Worker II to perform a variety of maintenance tasks across buildings and grounds at the Hanson facility in Kentucky. You will coordinate with a team, perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds work, and ensure clean, safe, well-maintained facilities for veterans.

Candidates must have at least one year of related maintenance experience or formal training, and must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the work of employees and assists the supervisor in the maintenance of buildings, ground and equipment.
• Performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas.
• Performs the duties of employees in maintaining and repairing plumbing, sewerage systems, electrical systems and associated equipment.
• Makes carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment.
• Upkeep in grounds maintenance (primarily lawn mowing and trimming).
• Painting and special projects that pertain to the upkeep of buildings.
