Facility Maintenance Technician Role
This position is based in Braselton, GA. The shift is Monday-Thursday, 4pm-2:30am, with overtime as needed.
Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician ensures all facets of building maintenance are addressed through preventative and reactive maintenance, meeting immediate needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Completing maintenance and repair work safely, effectively, and promptly
- Problem-solving and resource management for task completion
- Reading, interpreting, and executing work orders and schedules
- Collaborating with team members on upcoming work
- Planning work priorities with the maintenance supervisor, sourcing supplies, and assessing skills needed
- Optimizing labor utilization for maximum efficiency, considering approved vendors and contractors
- Managing tasks from start to finish involving multiple departments, 3PLs, and vendors
- Evaluating systems and facilities to determine maintenance needs and planning accordingly
- Communicating effectively via email
- Operating Powered Industrial Trucks, including forklifts and people movers
- Describing complex issues clearly to facilitate repairs
- Performing preventative maintenance with appropriate tools and equipment
- Addressing various maintenance issues such as electrical, lighting, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and pneumatic systems
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience
- Critical for ensuring equipment availability to support customer needs
- Practicing good housekeeping
- Recommending equipment or process improvements to enhance efficiency
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking
- Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 pounds, up to 80 pounds occasionally
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, manual handling, and wrist movements
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces
