Job summary

Davis Conference Center in Layton, Utah, is seeking a full-time Property Maintenance Technician to support the conference center and hotel. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and contribute to facility improvements for an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, and outdoors.
• Ability to follow work orders, safety procedures, and maintenance standards.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented and customer-focused approach.
• Hotel, hospitality, or commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic HVAC knowledge or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance throughout the conference center and hotel.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Complete carpentry, painting, flooring, drywall patching, and general repair projects.
• Assist with equipment installations, construction projects, and facility improvements.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Follow work orders, OSHA safety standards, and company security procedures.
• Communicate professionally with guests, vendors, and fellow team members.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer and maintenance team to keep the property operating efficiently.
• Help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of the building and surrounding grounds.
