Job summary

Simon is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service a South Hills Village Mall facility. The role covers troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, plus structural elements.

You will perform interior/exterior maintenance, operate equipment for preventive tasks, and assist with events and tenant needs. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required, with availability for varied shifts.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training encouraged.
2–3 years building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
Ability to read plans and schematics and to communicate with management, tenants, and others.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; valid Driver's License; reliable and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Routinely inspects facility and troubleshoots/repairs mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and structural elements.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas (painting, drywall, lighting, plumbing, etc.).
Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of property.
Assist Marketing and Local Leasing with events and cart placement/repair.
Follow OSHA standards and safety guidelines; maintain records and inventories.
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance programs.
Inspect air handling units; replace belts/filters and grease components; maintain logs.
Carry out exterior custodial duties as needed (trash, sweeping, cleaning) and other duties as assigned.
