Job summary

Highway Horticulture is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. The role involves coordinating shipments, assisting contractors, and managing equipment inventories within a safety-conscious environment.

The ideal candidate will work with little direction, apply problem-solving skills, and be comfortable with HVAC and electrical basics. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate ladders is required.

Qualifications

• Experience following OSHA safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive packages and coordinate placement of shipments in the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general troubleshooting on equipment and building.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventory and service records.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting for air compressor, bottling line, reverse osmosis skids, basic electrical.
• Coordinate more complex repairs and warranty resolutions with vendors and contractors.
• Assist subcontractors with electrical, HVAC and other installations.
• Coordinate for snow removal, lawn care and other facility maintenance contracts.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
• Purchase necessary supplies, equipment and materials in order to complete projects.
• Perform ad hoc jobs and projects as needed.
