Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a general maintenance technician to perform basic facility maintenance tasks and inspections on buildings and equipment. You will assist with repairs, equipment installations and renovations, and support emergency services as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1 year of in-house maintenance/construction experience or 2 years combined industrial, commercial, or institutional maintenance experience. Trade/technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1 year minimum in-house maintenance/construction experience or 2 years combined industrial, commercial or institutional maintenance/construction experience.
Knowledge of basic electro-mechanical maintenance and painting is required.
Trade/technical school training is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform basic facility maintenance tasks such as floor repairs, ceiling tile replacement, door hardware work, painting and office furniture installs.
Assist maintenance technicians with electrical, plumbing and other repairs and installations.
Provide emergency support for events like snow removal, utility disruption and fire response, as needed.
Document parts usage, complete work orders and maintain records per department procedures.
