PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Perform routine and specific maintenance services, which may include grounds work.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs.
• Act as backup for the call person in case of emergency, respond timely and appropriately.
• Handle all equipment safely, demonstrating good knowledge of tools and their safe use.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete reports as requested.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test/start generator weekly, and maintain fire alarm and fire safety systems, recording data as required.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, replacing or repairing fixtures as needed; repair or refinish furniture in rooms, offices, and dining areas as needed.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other tasks and functions as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
