Job summary

Harbor Group Management is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to uphold the property's physical integrity and appearance, performing routine upkeep of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will respond to resident service requests, conduct preventative maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and painting, and prepare vacant units for new residents while coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.
• Must be available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends upon the needs of the property.
• Valid driver's license required (for golf cart operation if applicable).
• Must be customer-service oriented with the ability to interact professionally with residents.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Any other certifications as required by local and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Respond to resident service requests using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs for safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents; inspections and punch lists.
• Maintain amenity areas: breezeways, pools, and common spaces.
• Manage tools, track inventory, and report reorder needs.
• Support safety by attending safety meetings and OSHA training.
• Inspect vendor work to ensure quality and scope.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
