Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance professional to perform upkeep of the service center, shop, grounds and dock areas. You will coordinate vendor repairs, oversee maintenance projects and ensure compliance with fire and safety codes.

This role requires strong handiwork, the ability to work alone or with a team, and effective communication with peers, supervisors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to work alone or as a team member.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• PC experience and ability to use maintenance software programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair service center facility, shop, grounds and dock area.
• Ensure compliance with standards and codes so inspections pass.
• Act as liaison for facility maintenance needs.
• Schedule work with vendors and oversee repairs.
• Coordinate in-house and 3rd-party repairs and communicate issues.
• Perform snow removal and landscaping when applicable.
