Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a facility maintenance technician to keep the service center and surrounding areas in optimal condition. You will perform repairs, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety standards are met, while supporting in-house and 3rd-party repair work.

The role requires basic electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills, strong teamwork, and solid communication abilities. Some travel and varied hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work alone or in a team.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills; PC experience with maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair service center facility, shop, grounds and dock area.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and company standards during inspections.
• Coordinate with vendors and supervise repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Schedule work with vendors and oversee scope of services.
• Assist with in-house and 3rd-party repairs and report issues to the team.
