Job summary

Bedrock-Car is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to uphold the safety and reliability of our facility’s plant, mechanical, electrical and resident care equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment in accordance with the Life Safety Code and applicable laws.

The role requires attention to safety, confidentiality, and respectful interactions with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, vocational training in skilled trade or other relevant technical training.
• Certificate/Licenses: Must have a license or certificate in Plumbing, Carpentry, or Electricity.
• Work Experience: Minimum two years experience in physical plant operations and equipment maintenance in an institutional health care setting.
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, electrical and resident care equipment to keep them in safe operating condition.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on facility systems in accordance with Life Safety Code and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with staff and residents, and follow written and verbal directions.
• Adhere to safety policies, confidentiality, and facility procedures on attendance and dress code.
