Job summary

Georgia World Congress Center Authority seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician in Atlanta to perform general maintenance, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks to keep facilities safe and reliable during events. The role requires adherence to safety standards, strong teamwork, and timely issue resolution.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, GA driver’s license, and 2+ years in electrical/HVAC/plumbing trades, with technical school training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license required.
• Technical school training in electrical and/or HVAC preferred.
• Minimum 2 years electrical/HVAC/plumbing experience preferred.
• Experience as electrician/electrician helper or HVAC tech/HT helper beneficial (480/277V, 208/120V).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical controls, wiring and lighting systems under supervision.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with appropriate devices.
• Monitor and secure equipment and supplies; document work orders.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry duties and related repairs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adhere to safety policies.
