Job summary

Georgia World Congress Center maintains and repairs a wide range of facility equipment to support events and guest experiences. The Equipment Repair Mechanic performs mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires the ability to read maintenance records, prioritize based on event needs, and communicate effectively with exhibitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical and electrical repair of facility equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a range of equipment used in events and catering.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with safety procedures.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple repairs and prioritize based on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain catering equipment, motorized carts, lifts, vacuums, and tables.
• Record maintenance work in the CMMS and track parts usage.
• Notify supervisors when equipment is unsafe or damaged.
• Assist in inventory control and parts procurement.
• Support installations and special maintenance projects as needed.
