Job summary

HJ Staffing seeks a hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to support upkeep of campus facilities and grounds in Atlanta. You will handle plumbing, electrical, and light carpentry, delivering welcoming, safe spaces across the campus.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to read technical manuals. A pre-employment drug test is required, with basic MS Office proficiency. EOE/VET/DIS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across a diverse community.
• Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and technical procedures.
• Beginner-level proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Outlook or Lotus Notes.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs/replacements of plumbing fixtures and valves.
• Perform minor repairs/replacements of electrical fixtures and devices.
• Carry out minor carpentry work for windows, doors, hardware, and furniture.
• Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Report defects and wear via the work order system.
• Coordinate routine repairs and facility setup within schedule.
