Job summary

Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Facility Maintenance Tech to keep our facility safe and well-maintained. Duties include inspections, HVAC/plumbing/electrical work, responding to requests, and maintaining vacated rooms.

On-call availability and weekend flexibility are required. The role requires a strong work ethic, leadership potential, and MS Office competence; Richmond Center is part of the Centers Health Care family.

Qualifications

  • Min. high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance.
  • Solid computer skills; MS Office proficiency.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative for quality service.
  • Rotating off-hour/weekend on-call availability.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with regular facility & equipment inspections for safety and upkeep.
  • Maintain HVAC system, plumbing and electrical installations/repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
  • Repair and maintain vacated rooms promptly.
  • Be available for emergency troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
  • Ensure all work complies with state, federal and OSHA standards.
