Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to uphold a safe, clean service center environment. You will perform facility maintenance and repairs, oversee vendor work, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely, compliant operations.

The role requires basic electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills, a high school diploma, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with maintenance software and strong documentation is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work alone or in a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; documentation and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the facility, shop, grounds and dock area.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and inspections.
• Serve as liaison for maintenance needs and coordinate with vendors.
• Schedule work with vendors and oversee repairs to timely completion.
• Coordinate in-house and 3rd-party repairs with the Facility Maintenance team.
