Job summary

Rochester Motor Cars is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to upkeep our buildings, production equipment, electrical and HVAC systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs to keep the facility safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate works independently, communicates clearly with the Facilities Manager, and supports projects from minor repairs to system upgrades as part of a dedicated Shared Services team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and production equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler room equipment.
• Maintain buildings, grounds, utilities, and facility systems for safety and efficiency.
• Assist with plumbing repairs and installation projects.
• Review and track work orders, ensuring on-time completion.
• Assist with equipment rigging, relocation, and new installations.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage approvals for improvements.
• Ensure facility safety, code compliance, and regulatory adherence.
• Keep management informed of project status and outcomes.
• Support general cleanup and special projects as needed.
