Job summary

Owens Realty Services in Orlando, FL is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician/Painter to maintain a Class A commercial building, its systems and finishes. Responsibilities include commercial painting, drywall repair, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

The role requires strong painting and repair skills, knowledge of paints and coatings, and the ability to follow OSHA standards while providing courteous service to tenants

Qualifications

• Strong commercial painting and drywall repair skills.
• Knowledge of paints and coatings (latex, epoxy, urethane, elastomeric).
• Proficiency with brushes, rollers, sprayers, ladders and lifts.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot common building maintenance issues.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders promptly and maintain records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and spaces.
• Paint interior/exterior walls, ceilings, doors and frames.
• Repair drywall, concrete, wood and metal surfaces.
• Repair doors, locks, ceilings, lighting and other components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Assist with air handlers, thermostats and related equipment inspections.
• Respond to tenant requests and after-hours calls when needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe.
