Senior LIFE PA in Reading, PA is seeking a dedicated Facility Manager to oversee the Environmental Services Department, ensuring cleanliness, safety and reliable maintenance for the center and in-home services.

This role reports to the Executive Director and demands strong work ethic, teamwork, and hands-on oversight of equipment, safety drills, repairs, and daily operational problem solving to uphold high care standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a relevant field.
• At least one year in a nursing home or health/social services setting.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Handling new problems/situations efficiently and effectively as they arise.
• Researching, recommending and purchasing facilities equipment and supplies.

• Maintaining and repairing homebound members' medical equipment.
• Updating material data safety sheets, as required.
• Center maintenance including Light drywall repair, Tile replacement, light plumbing, light fixture repair.

Overseeing the facilities and environmental services arm of the center is the Facility Manager, responsible for maintaining Senior LIFE's high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and general maintenance. This role has many important responsibilities, and requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, team-focused attitude and outstanding analytical thinking skills, plus the versatility and problem solving skills to tackle a variety of situations.

Senior LIFE is an innovative program that uses a team approach to provide seniors with medical,social,nutritionalandrehabilitation services. These services are provided at the Senior LIFE Center and are accompanied within-home nursing care,personal care, and other homecare services as needed. Senior LIFE makes it possible for seniors to remain at home, enjoying the comfort and reassurance of familiar surroundings while receiving the care they need.

Responsibilities

The Facility Manager reports directly to the center's Executive Director, with responsibilities including:

Qualifications

The Facility Manager will also serve as the chairperson of the Safety Committee, working with other LIFE Center staff on important environmental, safety and facilities issues.

All applicants should have at least two years’ experience in a relevant field, plus at least one year working in a nursing home or other health/social services environment. Candidates should also have a high school diploma or GED.
