Job summary

Currahee Club, located in Toccoa, GA, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and ensure high-quality service for a hospitality-focused property managed by Troon.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing maintenance contracts, and coordinating preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and grounds. A two-year degree or equivalent and relevant licenses are required; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or training; degree preferred in diesel/auto engines or similar.
  • Valid Driver's License and mechanical/equipment licenses (Boiler, HVAC).
  • Ability to read and speak English to communicate with customers and coworkers.

Job description

Currahee Club, located in Toccoa, GA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for aFacilities Maintenance Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities
  • Performs repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility.
  • Manages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facility and grounds.
  • Oversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facility.
  • Coordinates exterior property cleaning and maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Implements policies and procedures for the Building Maintenance and facilities Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
  • Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Assistant Maintenance technicians,cleanersand laundry facilities and housepersons.
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs for department.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Communicatesany changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Conducts staff meetings with subordinates.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Degree preference in diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, or smallengines,).
  • Valid Driver's License and other applicable mechanical/equipment licenses (Boiler, HVAC etc.).
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Working Conditions
  • Frequently uses hands.
  • Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls.
  • Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; to push or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Normally works near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, fumes and/or airborne particles.
  • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Noise level is moderate.
  • Work weekends and holidays.
