Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to support maintenance across moving centers, storage centers, and related facilities within a defined geographic area. You will perform general maintenance, install, repair and service tasks using hand and powered tools, and assist skilled workers as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license to operate commercial vehicles in local compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work as part of a maintenance team to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform work requiring nailing, sawing, cutting, painting and basic facility maintenance.
• Perform clean-up duties at renovation sites.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
