Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to assist in the maintenance of Moving Centers, Storage Centers and other U-Haul facilities within a geographical area.

You will work with hand and power tools to perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service, and support skilled workers as needed. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; on-site work includes safety precautions and opportunities for ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform work requiring nailing, sawing, cutting, painting and basic facility maintenance.
• Perform clean-up duties at renovation sites.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
