Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to assist in the facility maintenance of all U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers and other U-Haul facilities within a geographical area. The role emphasizes hands-on work with power tools, painting, general repair, and site upkeep.

A valid driver’s license and ability to operate commercial vehicles are required; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate commercial motor vehicles.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform work requiring nailing, sawing, cutting, painting and basic facility maintenance.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
