Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to support maintenance across U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers and related facilities within a geographic area.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with tools and adherence to safety standards. The position includes two hands-on interviews with paid time, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus after completion of a certification program at retail stores.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate hand/power tools and equipment.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Effectively work with a variety of hand/ power tools.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform work requiring nailing, sawing, cutting, painting and basic facility maintenance
• Perform clean-up duties at renovation sites.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
