Job description

The Facility Maintenance Helper will maintain lawn care and landscaping of all U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers, and other U-Haul facilities within the Fargo/Moorhead area.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Effectively work with a variety of hand and power tools and mowers.
• Perform lawn care, weed control, and general landscaping.
• Perform clean-up duties at rental locations.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles.
• Adhere to all local, state (provincial), and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Education/Training:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Safety considerations:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring safety precautions, such as working around moving parts or machinery, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be necessary.

Physical Demands:

This role requires physical exertion including standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, assisted or unassisted.
