Amentum seeks a Facility Maintenance Engineer in Forest Park, GA to lead preventive maintenance of building systems, diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating with contractors, managing inventory, and performing maintenance in potentially austere deployment environments for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Five years of engineering and facility maintenance experience, including HVAC, power distribution, generator maintenance, and plumbing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with ability to repair equipment and systems.
• Experience interfacing with senior DoW personnel, documenting technical positions, and writing technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Monitor and inspect building systems for proper operation and regulatory compliance.
• Plan and oversee equipment upgrades and acquisitions to maintain operations.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance tasks.
• Respond promptly to emergencies to minimize disruptions to operations.
• Maintain logs, records, and reports for inspections and audits.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Enforce safety standards and conduct routine safety inspections.
• Identify facility improvement opportunities and oversee implementation.
• Coordinate with other departments to align maintenance with business goals.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc facility inspections.
