Job summary

Solid Power is seeking a Facility Maintenance Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities for safe, reliable operations across our Louisville and Thornton sites.

You will manage work orders, interface with vendors, and support inventory, procurement, and safety programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in facility or manufacturing maintenance or related field.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, or coordination.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms (FIIX, Maximo, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and cross-functional coordination
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work on-site at both Louisville and Thornton facilities as needed

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance across facility systems.
  • Prioritize and assign work orders based on risk and op. needs.
  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules to address delays or emergent issues.
  • Maintain CMMS records and close completed work orders.
  • Coordinate external service providers for maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services per procedures.
  • Ensure vendors meet scope, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and verify compliance with specs.
  • Track PM KPIs and backlog in CMMS; participate in operations meetings.

Job description

The Facility Maintenance Coordinator assists maintenance teams with planning, scheduling, and coordinating facility maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building systems, infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment. This role supports maintenance teams, manages work orders, and interfaces with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of maintenance and repair activities.

Job Duties
Maintenance Planning & Coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across facility systems
  • Prioritize and assign work orders based on operational needs and risk
  • Monitor maintenance progress and adjust schedules to address delays or emergent issues
Work Order & CMMS Management
  • Maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Document, track, and close all work orders upon completion
  • Verify and resolve system data discrepancies
  • Coordinate external service providers for maintenance, repairs, and inspections
  • Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services per company procedures
  • Ensure vendors meet scope, safety, and quality expectations
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Maintain spare parts and consumables inventory to support maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate material delivery and verify compliance with specifications
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance availability and cost control
Preventive Maintenance Programs
  • Assist in developing and improving preventive and predictive maintenance plans with system owners
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime of systems and equipment
  • Track maintenance KPIs such as PM completion and work order backlog through CMMS
  • Maintain facilities and manufacturing systems Operation & Maintenance documentation library and drawing management system
  • Participate in operations and production meetings to align maintenance priorities
  • Serve as liaison between facilities, operations, and supply chain teams as needed
  • Communicate maintenance schedules, delays, and risks to stakeholders
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate inspections and support corrective action tracking
  • Promote a strong safety culture within maintenance operations

Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools up to 50 pounds
  • Walk large facilities and access mechanical spaces
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, including eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full‑face respirator or PAPR
Hourly Range

$30.00 – $46.00 per hour
