Job description

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Facility Helper.

The Facility Maintenance Helper is expected to perform a wide variety of duties to maintain, repair, and install equipment and physical structures. Responsibilities include minor electrical repairs, plumbing maintenance, carpentry repairs, HVAC maintenance and repairs. Supports Special Events by moving tables, chairs, bleachers, and similar activities. Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.

Pay: $25-35/hour

The listed pay is the hourly range or rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on experience, skills, abilities, location, and market data.

Essential Functions

1. Respond professionally, politely, and helpfully when dealing with customers.
2. Complete preventive and reactive maintenance assignments requiring basic skills.
3. Perform tenant request duties as assigned.
4. Clear drains using plunger and hand-held auger.
5. Change light bulbs and HVAC filters.
6. Perform general labor, including carrying, stacking, sorting materials, and debris removal.
7. Clean up the job site and equipment using various cleaning devices.
8. Perform minor patching and painting to maintain property aesthetics.
9. Travel using employer-supplied vehicle for parts and supplies.
10. Complete maintenance paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
11. Assist in emergencies as needed.
12. Return work areas to a clean, neat, and safe condition.
13. Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
14. Comply with all ABM and customer policies.
15. Participate in training to improve maintenance and job-related skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Skills applicable to systems, maintenance programs, and engines.

• Customer Service Experience.
