Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is seeking a dedicated maintenance specialist to upkeep multiple child development centers in New Mexico. The role ensures safety and aesthetics indoors and outdoors, using a work order system to manage facility needs efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of building maintenance experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education/Background: High School or GED.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in building maintenance/grounds care.
• First Aid/CPR certified or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred.
• TB test or Chest X-ray.
• NM ECECD Background Clearance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet MVR standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and upkeep of all child development centers, ensuring a safe environment.
• Use a work order system to prioritize and track facility needs.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
