Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Brandon, FL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to care for our facility, grounds, and equipment, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will coordinate routine maintenance with nursing, assist with repairs, and support refurbishment projects.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, and about two years of building trade experience; compassionate, dedicated, and reliable individuals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years' experience as a building trade helper, apprentice or equivalent preferred.
• Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services to perform routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with all repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.
• Maintain the facility grounds, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes.
