Job summary

Aviata Health Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our family-focused community. You will maintain grounds, facility, and equipment to ensure resident comfort and safety, while collaborating with nursing staff on routine tasks.

This role requires a high school diploma and preferred experience in building trades; we value compassion, dedication, and a team-oriented attitude as we strive to create a safe, welcoming environment for residents and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience as a building trade helper, apprentice or equivalent preferred.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with all repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.
• Maintain the facility ground.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
