Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Orange Park is seeking a qualified Maintenance Assistant to join our family-focused community. The role focuses on maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

You will coordinate daily maintenance with nursing staff, assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' experience as a building trade helper, apprentice or equivalent preferred.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with all repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.
• Maintain the facility ground.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
