Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Arlington, TX is seeking a Finance and Billing Manager to lead the facility’s financial operations, including billing, A/R, and ledger activities, in compliance with GAAP and state/federal laws.

You will report to the Administrator and Board, supervise Business Office staff, develop budgets, and present monthly financial statements while ensuring payer source coordination with Admissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a billing or supervisory capacity in the business office of a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility.
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the overall financial operation of the facility in accordance with GAAP and state/federal laws/regulations.
• Reports financial performance monthly to the Administrator and governing body.
• Develops processes to manage billing, collections (A/R), accounts payable, payroll taxes and general ledger functions.
• Ensures regulatory compliance related to bed-hold notices and Medicaid/Medicare programs.
• Produces monthly income statements and cost reports for government agencies as required.
• Maintains financial software proficiency and oversees daily billing checks and balances.
