Facility Engineer

Key Role:

Manage the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of physical infrastructures, and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with design and planning facilities and infrastructure based on mission requirements, budget constraints, and technical specifications.
  • Experience overseeing construction projects, managing schedules and budgets, ensuring compliance with industry and Air Force compliance, safety, and quality standards, planning and executing maintenance and repair activities, and balancing functional, mission, and budget requirements.
  • Knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineering career field in support of infrastructure sustainment, building infrastructure, emergency response and preparedness, compliance and regulations, and project management.
  • Knowledge of Air Force data platforms and sustainment management systems, including BUILDER.
  • Knowledge of project management processes, including Lean Six Sigma, PMI, or Agile.
  • Ability to communicate and present information and data to executive level clients, and lead teams in the identification of building and space requirements as it relates to critical mission needs and platform requirements.
  • Ability to develop engineering cost estimates and budgetary requirements, review construction requirements, and validate costs associated with military construction projects.
  • Ability to leverage critical thinking and problem-solving expertise to troubleshoot engineering challenges and needed process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Engineering.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of government policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of software packages from Autodesk, Unity, and Dynamo.
  • Ability to model data, develop simulations, and model engineering systems.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering Management or similar field.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, EIT, or similar Certification.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
