Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. What You’ll Do:
Drive Facility Transformation – Play a key role in implementing new manufacturing lines, upgrading infrastructure, and retiring outdated assets to create a state-of-the-art production environment.
Lead & Support Construction Projects – Oversee and assist with facility modifications, ensuring smooth execution of construction and equipment installation projects.
Optimize Tools & Inventory – Manage critical infrastructure components by maintaining parts and tools inventory, ensuring everything is ready when needed.
Be the Go-To Expert – Serve as the first line of support for equipment installation and vendor coordination, keeping projects on track and operations running smoothly.
Collaborate for Success – Work alongside project and logistics engineers to plan, design, and integrate new manufacturing equipment, driving innovation and efficiency.
What You Will Have:
Effective Communication: Extensive experience in conveying ideas clearly and persuasively across all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to senior leadership. Able to adapt messages for different audiences, provide constructive feedback, and lead discussions with confidence. Uses empathy and assertiveness to navigate conversations, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making
Project Management: Experienced in planning, organizing, and tracking projects using Microsoft tools like Excel, Teams, and Project to ensure smooth execution. Supports project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication while assisting in cost and schedule planning. Capable of creating status reports and tracking progress using Gantt charts or similar tools
Construction Engineering and Technology: Basic understanding of engineering principles, tools, and standards used in construction, including key technologies and methods. Familiar with industry practices related to design, production, and infrastructure development. Able to identify engineering concepts and their applications in construction project
Plant Facilities Management: Extensive experience overseeing facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and infrastructure management for large or multiple sites. Skilled in monitoring safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance while managing space planning and vendor coordination. Develops contingency plans to ensure operational continuity and building security

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
