The Opportunity

The Facilities Specialist maintains restaurants through preventative maintenance on all aspects of the restaurant.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
  • Perform facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis.
  • Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for equipment including cooking, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
  • Follow procedures in case of facility malfunctions or safety threats.
  • Train staff on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facilities.
  • Ensure proper and consistent maintenance practices are followed.
  • Conduct maintenance seminars and provide detailed visit reports.
  • Identify issues affecting costs and communicate with management.
  • Guide restaurants on maintaining facility records.
  • Perform repairs as needed, including emergency repairs.
  • Assist with new store turnover and inspections.
  • Coordinate with landlords, contractors, and vendors for repairs.
  • Support investigations and escalation of facility issues.
  • Represent facilities in management meetings and communicate updates.
  • Support regional initiatives and communicate with the Development Department.
  • Assist with contractor communications and re-investment projects.
  • Complete additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and plan work efficiently.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report and responsibility for safe driving.
  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years of relevant training or experience.
Compensation
