Job summary

HDR is seeking a Facility Designer in Columbus, Ohio to contribute to major project deliverables. The role includes programming, site master planning, BIM development, and coordinating with teams to produce construction documents.

Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree in architecture or related field and strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, with knowledge of SketchUp and MS Office. Local candidates preferred for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design or related.
• Command of Revit and AutoCAD, and knowledge of SketchUp.
• Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
• Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facility programming, report writing, site master planning, developing specifications and construction documents.
• Selection, coordination and layout of design aspects (vehicle maintenance equipment, site flow, etc.).
• Creating/using Building Information Modeling (BIM) to complete different levels of documents.
• Submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review.
• Conduct construction field observations.
• Other design/engineering tasks as assigned.
